Infact you can move in vehicles if their speed is slow enough. And if you ask me it's cool when those big battleships and carriers moving very slowly.

Ps. Maybe you can replace ladders with stairs.

Killed in First Minute;3596663Moving the carrier to hide it from planes is never helpful.

You couldn't be more wrong. The only times I've seen Jap win new Midway and Adak were because of some hot carrier driving. And if your team can't wait those few minutes with taking off (grab an AA position, ffs) then just drive it backwards.

I try & let the first wave fly off the carrier then Im moving it & no amount of whineing & bitching is going to stop me. If your dumb enuff to get in a plane when at flank speed then its YOUR fault. Stand by the plane & take a ritalin for christ sake. Just as soon as its clear of the spawn point we can start air operations. I sure hope the devs can incorporte something different for movement where we can go 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, & flank speed & a wind sock to tell the pilots the speed of the carrier.:smokin:

Agreed. When they are driven backwards you can fly fine. People can freak out at me all they want if I'm moving it, but I would rather keep it ingame than lose it 5min from a destoryer and bombers.

Gen'l Knight;3596437 The visibility is fine as is. Otherwise, smaller ships would never be able to make a torpedo run without being blown away.

i don't agree, or otherwise no big ships will be used in combat ....

bigger ships should ought to have some advantage

Congrats on the mod! Very, very, very x10 nice mod! But I can't help myself but to say this one thing: Yet another great mod went by the opportunity to put in the steel monsters of WWII :bawl:

Everyone should be downloading zuiquan's Battleship Mod. The difference between 1942's naval combat and BM naval combat is stunning. You set your speed and it stays at one level until you change it, same with steering, and the guns are perfect. I've shot people two kilometers away by using VOIP with a scout plane telling me where my shots are landing.

It's freaking brilliant for those who love naval combat, and it's good for everyone else too.

There are still a couple of bugs, but it's totally worth it. In fact, I'm going to go and play right now.

WW1 the battle of jutland was no walk in the park either.. And a good many of the battleships in ww2 also served in ww1.

A bit off topic.. but the battleship mod it seems the deck guns on the allegiance ship don't always responds when I fire them. Or is this done to simulate loading the gun.

No I disagree FB, moving the carrier in Midway and Adak undoubtedly preserved them in those maps. But I suspect it mainly preserved them from the enemy ships which would have cruised to the carrier's spawn point and blown the snot out of it. If I am flying, it is never hard to find the enemy carrier. It is usually on the edge of the map somewhere, and once it is found, I broadcast it's location to my whole team. Oh hey, just had a thought: Random Spawn Locations for Ships. (Is this possible?)
