I reckon it should be since using a mp 18 just doesn't feel right, will the type 100 also be able to compete against the thompson smg? and will the bayonet on the ariska be useable or will we have to wait for 0.7 before it can be implemented?
Probably not, I really really hope they make a bayonet for it also (the type 100, that is). Seeing how Bf1918 got permission to use the stabbing animation hopefully Fh will implement it soon.
.62 is concentrated along bug and balance fixing. Don't expect loads of new content.
do you have a date on when 6.2 will be out?
I think it was the end of this month, or was that the map pack release date..oh well, I am happy as long as we get some GOOD quality maps.........

Fine with me. I'm still playing with content from .6. Hopefully the PanzerIII will be an exception.
Although I love playing the Japanese, (The Arisaka 99 rifle is one of the best bolt action rifles in WWII, at least the early war ones.) I am not sure about the type 100. I have read that most of the type 100s were the improved model, which around 8,000 were made and kept on the home islands. That leaves about 2 to 3,000 of the older and paratrooper models that actually saw service. I still would like to see it in the game, but maybe only on a few maps. Also, this is just one source so others may have conflicting info.

Tommy: .45 cal, same round as the Colt, a very decent pistol Type100: 8mm, same bullet as the Nambu, the worst pistol evar
The MP18 is modelled after the MP28German SMG that the Brittish copied into the Brittish Lanchester that the Japs copied that was actually a much better SMG then the Type100, with a higher rate of fire and greater durability. I suppose imperial pride had something to do with that.
Will it compete? Probably not, the Tommy is arguably the best SMG of the war (Ppsh had production issues, tommy's were being made since the 1930s and there was a surplus to use). Will it serve it's purpose? Yep.
Just thought of something:
Shouldn't early Pacific theater maps have the Reising Type 50 SMG for US forces?
I know it was a horrid weapon, but so was the Nambu (took 13 minutes to get the clip out).
Well, I'd love to see it in, even if they werent mass produced to such the extent as say - the Sten Mk II, its better than the MP18.
Did the Japanese even use the MP18? whats worse is the Russians having it in BF1942.
I'd also like to see the Tompson w/ drum clip. that thing just owns.
