Dictator Reverus;4119100This happened a long time ago, but still. I was the commander of the german team in Operation Hycanith, doing regular commander stuff. Then the Axis HQ flag was captured, however my radio was in a tent somewhat north of it so i didn't feel so threatened. Then after a while a brit came over and killed me. So I spawned and tryed to take the truck to the radio, however I kept dying. Then I noticed that a closer, although more heavily fought over control point had a radio too. I went to the radio to find it was broken so I called an engineer. When he finished repairing the radio someone threw a grenade in the room, killed all of us and broke the radio. So then I respawned, protected the engineer while he repaired the radio and then, another grenade killed us. So I got pissed off, Chose engineer myself, repaired the radio, sat down to command my team and then I realized the radio would only play music.

That's not FUBAR, you just suck!

On Alam Halfa, we Axis managed after a grinding slog, take the first 2 flags. So I decide our squad should assault the left center flag by a roundabout route with a fully loaded kubelwagen. We managed, after alot of close calls, sneak in via the back, jump out, kill 4-5 Tommies guarding the flag, grey it, and are on the verge of taking it when our entire squad gets wiped out from a passing Stuka... In an interview later, on the Stuka Pilot had the following to say: "Ops"

Can't say its the most fubar, but It was a definite Puckering moment. Sitting on bardia i think (One with italian hospital where you find Scoped k98) anyways I cross the river as stealthy as possible as I do an arty shell comes close enough to hurt but I survive (He had been pounding that general area most of the map). Anyways make it across and go in search of ammo. Got to the hill before the british base and hear the tanks rumbling in. So I lie still in the open and watch. 4 tanks and 2 trucks in the next couple of seconds start driving past along the road to the bridge. My guy had been mining it so they kept stopping and letting me shoot off their passenger. One realizes there is a sniper and starts turning around to look for me. He looks directly at me and stops and stares in my direction for a good 10 seconds. All of a sudden he turns around and keeps firing at my other guys. The second tank does the same thing. Then a tank TK's one of his own guys and the other tank turns around to investigate and once again looks right in my direction. And goes back to shooting at the bushes.

I don't have a clue why they couldn't see me, Maybe with their X view it magnified the area enough not to see enough of me to distinguish a target or maybe they saw I wasn't reacting and just assumed I was one of them. Either way I made it out of the situation in one piece and ended a joined halfway map with the best K/D ratio (one award a sniper should get lol) and more of a realization in the importance of staying perfectly still in some situations. Had I moved I probably would have been taken out.

I didn't even think of taking screenshots of the situation I was so woried I'd get swiss-cheesed.

I had a real fubar moment last night,i was defending with my fellow brits a desert post,i saw a full german squad running towards me in the distant,my teammembers took care of them,we advanced to some craters ahead and waited, than suddenly a halftrack appears infront of me and wants to run me over, but i lay down on the ground in the crater and he drives over me and doesn't hit me at all!i was amazed because mostly its squash time and it was a big crater, the german dude seems also just as surprised so he stops the halftrack 5 meters from the crater, and he jumps in the AA gun in the HT,he doesn't spot me so i popped a anti tank round in his head :deal:

Playing on Mesa Matruh and was doing a pretty good job holding the German armor out of the town with the Grant (we had a pretty decent lead) and I eventually ran out of AP ammo and finally got killed by a PZ-IV IF2. A little while later when the Grant spawns someone else hops into it first, which wasn't too big of a deal, and I hopped on the turret. So this guy drives up to the north of West Matruh and just sits there taking random HE shots because the flag is gray. Meanwhile I notice several german tanks approaching from the West through the gap in the wall and fence.

I give the old enemy spotted radio call and even typed out a team message but the guy did not react at all, just kept randomly shooting to the south. Eventually the armour column moves up and the lead tank stops directly by the hole in the fence and I am spamming team and radio messages hoping the guy controlling the big gun would turn but no dice.

After about 30secs-1 min just sitting beside each other the German column starts advancing and I am still just spamming messages because the 37mm gun isn't much good against armour but our tank still would not react. About 5 german tanks drove past us within 20 feet, the last of which drove up behind my tank and killed us.

The Germans tanks went on to capture the mosque and the back flag and eventually win the round :bawl:

Trobuk the other day, I was playing as a German. For about 15 minutes after I join, the guy on the howitzer will not stop asking for targets. So I spawn as recon and climb the ridge. I call in arty on the Trobuk HQ 2 Pndr, and wait. The gunner doesn't stop asking for targets long enough to notice. So I wait a few more seconds then decide to run my jerry ass across no mans land. I reach the HQ, take out a few people before they realize I'm there, and make my assault on the trenches. Still no artillery, about 3 minutes later. A Tommy comes rushing at me, and my snap shot fails to connect. I fix bayonet as he draws his knife and we rush each other. Next thing I know I'm on my ass, staring up at a gray scale sky. Yeah, guess what finally came though?

They really ought to add a button for voice communication within the vehicles. Sometimes its just a pain in the ass, especially with frenchies driving vehicles.

I don't think it's really FUBAR, but I just came from a round where an enemy British soldier and I bayoneted each other to death at the exact same time. Quite hilarious, actually.

Most FUBARed moment for me in FH2 was just yesterday:

I was playing on Siege of Tobruk in the British team. The Germans had pushed us back to the 2nd defensive line with concentrated Panzer firepower and captured Bofors that layed waste to pretty much everything that moved out of cover. After dying a couple of times, I respawned in our mainbase to grab a tank and strike back. I was lucky to find a free Matilda and began a little rampage, destroying virtually anything in my path with near impunity.

So far, so good. With the coaxial MG, I kept on killing Germans who tried to man a Bofors, which was completely useless against my Matilda anyway. So I drove right by it and exposed my rear. Of course, another German spawned and tried his luck in penetrating the rear armour with the Bofors, which again proved to be a futile attempt. I slowly turned the turret to the rear, and opened fire with the coaxial MG. The whole salvo missed from like 3 metres away and I had to reload, all while that guy kept on pounding my rear armour.

Just 1 second before I reloaded, my completely functional Matilda was destroyed in 1 direct hit by our own commander artillery! And the guy in the Bofors hadn't even been scratched. You can't imagine my facial expression in that moment ... :wtf::Censored:
