Hey. I wanna know how to do basic animated gifs in image ready 7.0, like opening a video in there and cutting certain parts ouf of the video to make a little animated avatar thing. E.g. dimebagrip9hm.gif Those types of things. If someone could give me or make they're own quick basic tutorial or something, it would be helpful :). Thanks.

As far as I know, ImageReady is only a "complier." To get an avatar like that, you need (at least, this is how I do it) Quicktime, a quicktime compatible movie, and just take screenshots of every frame you want. Then after taking each screenshot, paste it into a document in Photoshop, and just repeat.

After that you crop it, delete some unnecessary layers, jump to imageready, and tween the frames.

I believe if you have some kind of macromedia flash or some other animation program, its far easier than this. But this is the only process I know of with Imageready.

If you are using ImageReady 7.0 and you have Quicktime Player on your computer(acting as a codec) when you use the File>Import function on ImageReady it will convert the video(.mov) into frames, sometimes however it can be a bit buggy for some people.

Not exactly :( I'm in school right now and 'doing my work'. No internet at home right now sadly.
