I'm interested in giving some old black and white World War 2 photos some color. However, I'm not very skilled at photoshop nor do I have much knowledgeabout the program. So I was wondering of anyone here has some tops for me.

Here's what I got thusfar. I've simply added a new layer (mode: color) and started coloring it. I also added some filters, made some areas a little darker and tinkered with the contrast settings. Let me know what you think. (It's a British (A12) Infantry Tank MkIIa Matilda MkII.)

Thats actualy really cool, it seems so much more "Real" in color, in Black and White it was like "Yeah, I've seen this 100,000 times already", but in color its as if it could happen just outside.. unless you live in Minnesota.

Dude...that's really good. You have talent for a first try. Looks really promising.

Try toning the contrast down so it doesn't look so sharp.

Great work.
