And after a longer remission we have another of our larger project contests coming up.

This time's theme is website portfolio. A place to show of your past works more or less.

For the record - only a picture mockup is needed, no actual coding has to take place nor is required. Please, still keep browser window sizes in mind when you'll be designing.

Rules Must be your own work Only 1 entry per person (Can be changed by request.) Must contain the included render or follow the stated style.

Any questions or needs, feel free to p.m. Section, Junk Angel, or Count_Chocu1a. Alternatively some of us can often be found at irc:\\arloria.net channel #design_hole

What's a DOTF and what's a website portofolio? Just a website template?

May this design be made in Flash, or is it restricted to the use of Photoshop and the likes? And what does the portfolio need to contain precisely?

I don't know how this flash thing works, but in the OP it says no coding/scripting? :lookaround:

Flash doesn't have to be scripting per-se - it can be limited to graphical only, as far as I'm aware. The only difference would be the animations/frames and perhaps some other minor thingies.

Well even if you're making it in flash, you'd still first make a mere mockup. But if you want flash in it, you easily can. Just keep in mind that the ending result should fit a webpage instead of a mere video.

Also the content can be anything you feel should be in there. Though considering most of us have sigs, either sigs, visible links to them or thumbmails work just fine.

basically, draw a portfolio page. if it helps, design it as if it were for your own designs. at least, that's my understanding of the brief.

i'm already working on some flash projects right now. so i think i'll stick to photoshop. it'll be a better learning experience for me, too. i usually just design sections of ui in ps, then size and position them in actionscript. it'll be a nice change of pace.
