An update to one of the sigs, added a border, fixed the text, and gave it a background.

abstractsig3ou4.png Still needs blending, but I think it looks better now.

Man I wish I had a following to post in this whenever I don't, like the other showcases. :p I haven't really had much time to make many things, or even really the inclination. Graphics doesn't interest me like it used to. :(

Not sure why, I guess I just don't have the patience or time for it like I used to.

Thanks, I'm taking a class in Graphics Design, so hopefully I can learn how to make more things from scratch (brushes, images, pattersn, etc), rather than making sigs or something, which pretty much anyone with a graphics program can do. That's the downside of being "good" at making signatures, pretty much anyone can do that, it's not hard to combine a couple brushes, throw a few filters on, and then toss a render in. So being able to make sigs, fractals, or Terragens doesn't really make you a "graphics artist", it just means you can use the program. The real PS work are the things that people make from nothing, whether it's a drawing or whatever.

I want to get away from tutorials, too, because you're not really doing much then, you only prove that you can mimic someone elses' work, though it can be good to learn some tricks for use on your own.

Great work Ghost!! I have to agree with you about the sig part. I am trying to venture out and make things from scratch as well. That is the most gratifying *sp* part of it. Good luck in the class. To answer faceless's question you can get the gimp, which is a free program that is alot like PS. That would be your best bet for a free graphics program.:smokin:
