A guy I knew had seen me play with photoshop and liked my doodles. He told me to let him know when I bought my computer, and I did. He said "wait", went in his office (I used to do security for an office building), came back with a bunch of CDs and gave them to me. One of them was Photoshop 4. I installed it and was getting more and more frustrated until I searched for "tutorials". After that, I was stuck to my computer 2-3 hours every day creating "masterpieces" (load picture, apply filter, call the Louvre). After a while, I discovered Kingpin and started making skins for it. After 2 months of work and about a hundred crappy skin, I posted the first one and it got a pretty good reception. I didn't post another skin until I got SOF. Then SOF2 came out and after that, games changed and skinning became almost obsolete, so I started doing photo manipulation and signatures. Then, I found this forum. The rest is history. :)

I really started in with graphics during my clanning days *shiver* making awards and such. I kind of liked it, so I took a digital imaging class in high school. I liked it more, so I've been fiddling with it since. Not quite up to your caliber, Fragger, but maybe some day ;)

I found this person's site by accident and wanted to someday become that proficient with a program like Photoshop. Around the same time I got a free copy of PS7 from a teacher at school and started to learn. These days I've fallen back to just editing photos, but I hope to get into true photomanipulation one day.

I have actually been looking at other's works for about 3 years now, i always wanted to be able to do them, but i was "THE computer n00b." i knew nothing, absolutely nothing besides the very basics. Luckily i came onto GF, weird things, but ever since i joined GF i have learned soooooooo much about Graphics and computers in general. Eventually i got my computer back and i got Apophysis and i used my brothers Photoshop program and here i am.

it all started when I saw my dad editing a photo with Photoshop. So I got the cd and installed it and I started messing around with the programme and pressed all kinds of buttons and after a while I started modding with it. Making skins for MOH, starting from easy ones to more complex ones. Then I used it to make a clan banner and then I entered these forums. And I got better with Photoshop over time, using tutorials.

Well the graphics world is massive. First i suggest looking at some programs, such as Photoshop, Gimp, Apophysis, Vue D' Esprit, Terragen, and a couple more of the Adobe graphics programs. Just start browsing the internet for different programs, then find some tutorials on them and just practice, practice, practice.

A tutorial on this forum led me into it. This one, actually: http://forums.filefront.com/showthread.php?t=149785 I get all my inspiration from it. =D
