Blending? Alright...make a new transparent layer--->cut out image you want on sig---->drag image onto transparent layer. Done. Otherwise if youre talking about layer blending, im not so sure about it... And I could give you more less vague answers but im too lazy yeltongue.gif

Your best bet would be to look under the tutorials section as thats where I've learned how to do most of my stuff, that and screwing around with settings. But for layer blending, if you're talking about what I think you're talking about, create a transparent gradient and post it over the other layer that you have set.

Paste the image onto the signature

Grab your lasso tool

Outline the image you want to blend in with lasso

Go Select->Feather and set it to a number(if the image is small, use a small number, and vice versa, try 5-10 first)

Once done with that, and you have the feathered image still selected, go back to Select menu, and click inverse. Then push Delete.

If I understand what you refer to by blending, do the following (note that you must have your signature AND the M16 picture open in Photoshop):

  • Use the magnetic lasso tool to draw an outline around the M16 which will cut it out (or you could just drag the entire picture containing the M16 into your signature and use the magic want and eraser to eliminate the rest of the picture, which would, without doubt, require much more time and work).
  • Drag the M16 over into your signature, which should create a new transparent layer for it automatically.
  • From there, you may change the stacking order of the layers in the layers palette and adjust the opacity (the fill can be adjusted as well, but it is more optimal for fading text) of the M16 until you feel it is appropriately blended with the surrounding elements.

to blend, take the image you want blended and put it on top. now take the laso tool, and laso the image (probably the center. the bigger the image, the bigger the laso). now, take the feather and put it on a number that suits the situation. then, go to layer>add layer mask>reveal selection.
