Making borders like that can be hard sometimes :( try looking here www.good-tutorials.com for a border tutorial like that one.

BTW are you using Photoshop?

Grim Grom :nodding:, thats how it looks anyways lol. You can do a simple 'advanced border' by grabbing the polygon lasso tool and using shift+click to outline the border and then fill it then bevel/emboss and whatever else ;)

Holding shift ensures that your selection will be either parallel to the borders or at a 45 degree angle. If you mess up, just hit back space to fix it. Also, always do it on a new layer, so you can add effects and apply filters without touching your main image.
