How many of you are artists offline? I fell in love with pencil and paper when I was 5. I kept expanding to other mediums, charcoal, oil etc, and finnally dipped into graphics about 6 months ago. At first it was very frustruating and i almost stoped because I lacked the expirience to manipulate my work to fit my imagination. Now I look back at how I got here, and wonder if any of you were "classical artists" first before you started working with graphics.
I did an art GCSE, and worked for a graphic design company a few summers back. I guess that counts?
I have two left hands, so I have poor skills, however, if someone is wiling to listen, I like to give advice on what would look good.
i used to do drawings since i was 5 or six, my mom says before then, but thats when i remember starting :) i started doing graphics on the old amiga platform, then got the pc, as like section i almost gave up because i couldnt get the compesition right etc, but when i figured out how to do it, i havent stopped :D
I went to art college for 2 years, then I dropped out because I partied too much. Now I am a culinary artist.:p
I am an artist and like you, adopted the pencil since the age of 4. I've slowed down in recent years, but started again this year with an art As level. I'm hoping to go do 4 years at uni in illustration and animation and get into character concept art.
I've just started getting into graphics in the last few weeks (Check the sig) but I lack major knowledge on how to do things and what I need.
I'd love it if I could get some advice. PM me or summin, I'd appreciate it.
I used to be, but I stopped when I was about 12, so I have the drawing skills of a 12 year old.
i dabble in a bit of graffiti every so often
