While were on the subject...

About 4 years ago some guy said to me he managed to work out how to make a transparent background on a flash animation. Is this true? and if so.... how :|

thats the problem...its all bout opacity adjustment but how the heck he do that? I'm sure there's an opacity adjustment where you can set thing to be a little bit transparent somewhere in Flash...

Oh, i wasnt sure if you ment making objects in the animation transparent or the actual background so you can see the webpage under it, wich is why i asked.

I've looked arround every now and then and havent really found much out, but likewise im not exactly technicly minded in the ways of Flash :p

To make some objects transparent you have to import a PNG or GIF image, with a transparent background. Use "The GIMP".

Hopefully these will help, with transparent backgrounds. Macromedia Transparent Backgrounds.

Anim-FX Flash Tutorials

Do a Google search for " Flash Transparent FAQ "How To" ".
