hey i just finished a site for a friend and the invision board forums we use looks crappy with its default look, and i really dont know how to reskin it so im hoping one of you guys out there do? if so i would like help reskinning the board to have the same look as the site i created for them, you can see it here www.sosracing.tk, any and all help will be really apreciated
Try going to the Invision official site and downloading a skin zip. then from that you work out required images to be made and what dimensions to have them.
i have looked, but i have not seen anything
ok nm i found a skin, but now i cant seem to find how to upload this theme and put it into use, i have what used to be offered, the invisionfree board (a forum is not worth money as far as im concerned) and i need a lil help getting my selected skin in use
If you've got FTP access try uploading the skin you just made under the file name of the default skin and replce the existing defualt skin.
i dont, if i did woulda been my 1st thing to do... any other ideas?
Tell the person with FTP acccess to do it for you?
i dont know anyone who does... i signed up for it at their site when they offered it, they host it
You can't put up skins on invision forums like you can on other forums. You must go to this site: http://invisionfree.com/forums/ifskinzone/index.php You must register there. In the forums, look for the skins section, and once you found a good skin, you must copy and paste the CSS stuff (That long list that looks like html or something) and paste it into your 'manage style sheets' thing in the admin CP.
EDIT: There might be two lists, one for site footers and stuff, but you don't need that, you just need the CSS.
thanks alot dude
