im new to this website and i have become interested in graphic design, what program do i need to do all the cool artwork that i have seen on here thankz

Theres photoshop this is the expensive main one http://www.adobe.com/digitalimag/main.html paint shop pro this is cheaper www.digitalworkshop.com the gimp this is free :) www.gimp.org google picasa also free http://picasa.google.co.uk/ I use gimpshop, its the windows version of gimp but made out to look like photoshop but just doesnt have the same features so im thinking of maybe going to paint shop pro 8 or maybe photoshop if i can find it cheap

Photoshop 7 is what I have. It's decently priced. The newest version is just insane.

i have paintshop pro CS?, my parents have taht, will that work, and if so what and how can i make cool graphics?

That should work fine.

Google for some tutorials, to start with, so you get used to the basic tools and user interface. Then, practice, muck about, and have fun! You'll get the hang of it soon enough.

Go to http://www.good-tutorials.com and search for "beginner"(don't include the quotes) and there should be interface tuts and other easy tuts. Good luck!
