After you take a Prnt Scrn how do you convert it to a png or jpg. Every time I take a prnt scrn I have to paste it to microsoft word to view it, is there a way around that?

Try pasting it to a photoshop such as Paint. Then do Save As and put a ".jpg" or ".png" at the end. (Without quotes)

Yup, you just need to copy into any graphics program and save it. Microsoft Word generally fails as everything but a word processing utility.

Just to play it safe, when you open the new image file in a program, simply press ctrl+v. In photoshop the default image size will be adjusted as you open a new file with the image stored in the pint screen mode, in paint, the window will adjust to the size of the photo automatically.

Microsoft Word fails so hard, I replaced it with OpenOffice.org. Never lost a document since then. =/

But yeah, don't use Word to photo edit.

Yes yes, OpenOffice.org is great. My only beef with it is that it puts everything I copy from the internet in a weird little table. I got it when I got a new computer and figured that there is really no reason for me to dish out a couple hundred dollars on Microsoft Office.
