Hello there and welcome to the Graphics Department of FileFront Gaming Forums!

As moderator(s) of the Graphics Department, we are obligated to enforce the guidelines of FileFront. Just like any other single forum bound to this domain. As such, all content posted in the Graphics Department is subject to the guidelines of FileFront. These guidelines can be found here.

Let's review some important highlights.

1.) S.P.A.M - Stupid Pointless Annoying Message(s) SPAM - whether or not it be with the sole purpose of increasing post count - is under no circumstance allowed for obvious reasons. As moderators, we'll be enforcing this rule and as such, will result in removal of posts seen as SPAM.

2.) Bumping Bumping is reviving threads that are of quite an age. Please do not bump threads that are older than 6 months. Do note, however, that 'Sticky' threads are excluded from this rule.

3.) Warez, CD-/DVD-Cracks, illegal content Please refrain from posting requests related to anything considered illegal (includes, but is not limited to warez, cracks, illegal torrents). This also means you should not participate in a thread of somebody with the same purpose as said matters.

4.) Pornography, general explicit content Do not make posts that contains explicit content. This includes but is not limited to pornographic, hentai, and gore images. This forum is public to anyone, and also means that minors participate in discussions that are ongoing.

5.) 'Back-seat' moderation Please do not 'back-seat' moderate. 'Back-seat' moderation is trying to behave as if you are a moderator (e.g. telling others to not post about it, read the rules, or anything along these lines). Us moderators are more than capable enough to handle situations in which problems might arise.

6.) Flaming Flaming is absolutely prohibited. This is a friendly environment, and thus, should be continued to be treated as one. If you enter a feud with somebody, please solve the issue via PM instead of public. If you really cannot, please do not mind contacting one of the moderators here in order to let them handle the situation accordingly. If that does not seem to work either, the moderators will make sure to inform a super-moderator or administrator*.

*Note: make sure to contact one of the moderators instead of the administrators or super-moderators at once! In most cases, moderators can solve the situation without problem.

7.) Plagiarism Plagiarism is self-explanatory; this is simply not allowed under any circumstance. People have spent effort into their work, and it would be disrespectful to steal it and claim it as your own. Or even, to use it without explicit, written permission from the author; unless specified otherwise.

Explanation of the Graphics Department areas

The Main Area: Use this place for general graphic discussion, posting news and for comparing notes with other designers. The Pixel Rave: Post and share you digital work here. C&C is always welcome. The Arena: Competitions of all shapes, sizes-weekly and annually, large and small. Join in for some fun and test your skills here. The Consignment Shop: This area is for requesting all types of graphic work from our artists. Be polite and please don’t abuse our generosity. Also, the guidelines which are posted in the Consignment Shop are there for a reason. Use them! The Digital Archives: The place to go for help with well, just about anything. Tutorials, questions and resources are located in this forum. Feel free to submit and participate.

Enjoy, The Graphics Department Team

Updated as of 17/11/2010.

Re-written the rule-section and changed things accordingly. Added a highlight about bumping as well.
