I've seen better street-art than that swimming-pool illusion: And my favorite:
SpaZy;3543626that guy is overated, being a urban artist myself he is clearly the biggest fool. sure he is indeed good, hes so good that he basks in it and ruins everysingle picture. how does he ruin it, he is in it. Im not saying he is not good, by all meens he is very creative and is amazing for being able to make something flat look 3d, but seriusly. you want real street art, go take a walk outside. look at all the burners, throwups, pieces and tags what are in our society. thats street art.
You're talking about Julian Beever, and he's not 'overated'. So what if he poses next to his art? If you spent three hours or more drawing on a sidewalk in chalk, you'd have the right to be proud too. Besides, anyone can be an 'urban artist,' that's really a fancy title encompassing everyone from street artists to fourteen year-olds who grab a can of spray paint and write their names on a wall. Sure, it's all 'art,' but a lot of those burners, throwups, pieces, and tags are worthless, uninspired, annoying things which wreck the appearance of public property. Don't get me wrong, some of it looks good, but the vast majority sucks and is an eyesore. And calling that 'real street art' is like saying a nine-year old's drawings should be hung in a museum. That one is indeed, insane... :p
Any ideas on how long these things take to paint/create?

3 hours??? That would take me 3 years!
