Does anyone own Maya? If you do I was wondering if I could download it.

Nemmerle has Maya, as do other people on other sites.

Get the free version, as Inyri said, or pay up...and by pay up, you're gonna need a lot of money.

I'm not sure how much the full version of it costs since when I got my version they were still under the control of Alias, but I'd imagine you're looking to spend somewhere in the region of three and a half thousand pounds for all the bells and whistles.

You can't download it from me because if I released a version of it onto the net then there'd be people who downloaded that which might have gone out and bought it, or indeed bought a lesser 3d program. Which could make the people who make the program charge more for it next time they release a version. As I buy Maya, and hock up quite a lot of money as it is, I'm not going to be aiding that sort of behavior.

If you want to download a copy to learn then the Personal Learning Edition works well enough: http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/index?siteID=123112&id=6902573 And is provided for free by the company that makes the program. :)
