Obviously, this is a Terragen competition, for those of you who don't know, Terragen is a program to create highly realistic terrain renders and the such.

Some pretty realistic images can be created for it, a few examples- http://www.planetside.co.uk/gallery/v/tg09gallery/golden_okt_1024_2.jpg.html

http://www.planetside.co.uk/gallery/v/tg09gallery/DesertView_panorama.jpg.html

You can get it here- http://www.planetside.co.uk/terragen/download.shtml

The goal of the competition is to make the "best" render, as in.. the one with the most votes once the Poll goes up.

I'll put up the poll at Febuary 4th, leaving plenty of time for any newbies to get familiar with the program, it's relatively easy to use.

Shame he (Chris/tigaer) made that image over a year ago.

Terragen is free, why don't you download it from planetside.co.uk and try reading some tutorials. Honestly, I don't know why people steal art, especially when you can create an image yourself, with enough practice, of course.

Either version is fine, I honestly have yet to use 2, that version has a price, though right?

Also, the program really isn't that difficult to use, once you get used to it.

Edit: I think I'll extend it to the 14th, due to laziness and doubt in the fact that anyone can get used to it in any less time.

Well, the current Tech Preview is a free version, but you can pre-purchase the "deep" version and have more capabilities (albeit for $200 more).

Also, this is the Tech preview, not the real thing, so I'm waiting until the real thing comes out until I purchase anything. I may end up being screwed if the price is higher, but I've been using it since it came out and I still don't feel like I'm good enough at it to purchase anything.

I'll get an entry in as soon as I decide which one of mine I like best, good luck!
