I just wonder - Im alone with the same problem? I like the 5.1 "amost wooden" speakerset, witch play everything very well, paired with the SoundBlaster Audigy2zs :) However for more serious cooperation gaming, like the Battlefield 2, is necessary to have a teamspeak - of the build-in VoiceOverIP in BF2 - so one can speak with own team mates. Soluthing like this, for example:
Sharkoon Majestic II 5.1 Headset USB
Now - Im a bit confused. If there is a AC3 output - with in analog way need there 3,5" stereo jacks, then how to switch for the headset???
Or the solution is to really DID not use the Audigy2zs output at all, but instead the USB "soundcard" to play the sound? Is not this a bit of waste, or it is a usefull solution?
I thinked about audioswitcher for the jacks, but does something QUALITY like this even exists? :uhm:
And what are the speed penalty for using the USB for audio? Even I have USB2, of course, but still - PCI and USB speed are somewhat uncomparable and I like the hardware rendering using EAX...
Anyone can tell me, what the hell happend when I connect such box and headset? :lookaround: :lookaround: :lookaround:
Thx in advance :D
Ok, so you want a switching box so you can go from your 5.1 to your headset? The switching box should do the job. If not simply unplug your 5.1 set and plug in your headset, that is how i did it with mine...
Unplug is not a option - I don't want damage my connectors all over, every day I went to play...
Besides, did you noticed that these thing are connected using - USB???
In short, I looking for someone who got the experience witch something like this, similar model, or such ;)
