Heeey! I'm downloading Counter Strike Source leggally trough steam. The problem is: I dont have enough disc space on my C drive. I have been looking to remove things on the C drive but everything whats in there must stay and cant get removed. What I want to now is: Can I download games with steam to my D drive? Please help me ASAP! Bye
Just move steam folder to your d drive(assuming its a hard drive) and play away.
if you D drive is a CD/DVD drive then no, either delete some stuff, or get a new HD..... what size is your current HD?
No I have a C drive, D drive and Z is cd drive. My current status from my C drive is 1,5GB and from my D drive 15GB
so you have 1.5 gb free on C? what is the full size of C......... and there is no CD drive that is 15gb....so D cant be 15gb and a CD drive EDIT: i didnt read that right........ if D is a HD, and there is 15gb free, yes, you can put games on it....but you would have to also put the steam folder, and hl2 (if you have it installed) on D also
Everything worked fine but now theres an other problem :( Look: My friend has an other CS than me. We dont know what versions we have... Soo I have the wrong counter strike. I get it with HL1 and he get his CS with HL2... What can we do about it so we can play together? When I want to download an other CS it says: You already own a product by using this CD key or something like that... Help plz
did you download Counter Striker Source, or Counter Strike 1.6?
I dont know that :( I downloaded the Counter Strike that comes with HL1 and my friend downloaded Counter Strike what comes with HL2... I dont know what version :(
ok, then im betting you have Counter Strike 1.6, and he has Counter Stike Source....... what you need to do, is buy Half Life 2, and Counter Striker Source will come with it, or he needs to buy Counter Strike 1.6 and then you can play together
D@mn... So I bought HL1 for nothing :'(
