I have been trying for a long time to pass this jump. Even when I land in the circle I don't pass. I found some old forums sayinf just keep trying but I'm about ready to give up. I'm a Newbie to AA using version 2.82. I'd appreciate any help because this seems like a very good game. Thanks -Rick

I don't think you have to complete that training exercise in order to play most of the maps...

Just listen to the instructions carefully and land very slowly, the instructor teaches you how to do it, listen to him and do as he says. It'll take a few attempts but it works :)

Was airborne training required for Special Forces? It's been practically four years since I completed it.

Anyway, simply landing in the circle is not sufficient. You must land properly without breaking your legs. Look either to the far left or right, and press "e" to flair right before you hit the ground. Back then this was required, not sure if things have changed or not, though.

I think things are similar to that, it seems to ring bells.

And yes, Special Forces training is extremely tough.

SF isn't hard if you use a video tut :p. I was a complete idiot for how to solve it. Everything saw me back then. I needed some good tips. Eh, you don't hit the E button. It's F.

I installed it on my laptop, and that came painfully clear to me. :p

I was trying to persue someone on Bridge, and kept trying to open the bottom arch door with the "e" button. I'm wondering when the made "e" the default for right lean. It always had been the action key for me...

With most FPS by EA, if not all, the use/action key is "e"

Thanks to all! The "trick" for me was to flare at the VERY end of the jump. The "help" provided by instructors of don't flare too early and don't flare too late is useless. I'm struggling with SF training (Objective B) now, boy these guys see and here everything. I see most of the guys but sometimes I get caught and I have NO idea who saw/heard me. Cheers -Rick

They changed 'e' to another 'action' in the more recent versions. 'e' is still my action button, it just seems natural for AA to have 'e' as the action button :p

I thought 'e' was to

I wasn't aware that AA was an EA game, in fact, I don't think it is...if I'm correct in thinking, it's actually made by a 'department of the US Army' as an 'introduction' to the army. It's a recruiting tool.

It's very tough that training mission. We cannot post tutorials / cheats here. But that's not to say they're not available. Take your time - it may seem slow and boring, but it's faster and less-boring than having to do it time and time again and get caught each time :p
