I'm not entirely sure where to put this, so feel free to move me around somewhere . . . .

Ok, I have a slight gaming issue, for some reason, every time I play StarCraft, my eyes get sore and very blood shot. Makes me actually look like something you'd see in StarCraft, or similar to my avatar (no joke). This is slightly painful and very annoying. It only seems to happen when I play this game, and I don't know why! Maybe since everything's so small or something my eyes have to focus on every little thing, I don't know. Used to happen when I used to play the N64 version too a long time ago.

Doesn't matter how short a time I play either, yesterday I did garage sale stuff most of the day and it still made my eyes terribly red and sore for the brief time I played. Looks like I've been in a clorine pool for twelve hours a day or something.

So, I guess what I'm asking, does anyone else experience something similar or know how to get rid of this?

Damn that sucks, ummm, try wearing glasses? Get enough sleep/rest for your eyes. Use a solution such as Clear Eyes, helps clear up the bloodshotness.

Never experienced anything like that.... Halo PC gave me a headache though, and that was from the title screen, when it has that circle thing spinning round....made me dizzy. If it is causing you pain, then maybe you should consider contacting a doctor about it and getting some proffesional advise about it. If it is hurting you, then it can't be good.

I get hayfever a lot, which does actually get worse while playing Halo, so you might be allergic to something?

I get the exact same problem when I play older games Steakboy. I was playing Rise Of Nations the other day and my eyes felt fried after about 40 minutes of play. I got the same when I found my copy of Red Alert and played that for old times sake. I guess we get used to smoother graphics and higher refresh rates. Those old games I think use lower refresh rates, but I use ATi Control Centre to force everything into 85Hz so I don't know. Its really annoying that I can't replay these old classics I guess its just how our eyes are Steakboy. Do you get this when you play any other classic oldies or not?

I had that with Star Trek Armada but it took days of playing to get blood shot. Boy, I sure don't know. There are lots of comparable games to starcraft. Try age of empires or something. Just don't play, you might get permenent damage.
