I kind of doubt anyone here knows of this game or has played it, but I'm going to post this anyway. It's been over ten years, and I STILL...can't finish Bioforge. I'm at the very, very, last part of the game. All I need to do is get the Icarus shuttle working. I know the alien battery I have is supposed to be at least 3/4 charged, and it IS. But whenever I try to use it on the shuttle, Lex just makes a motion like he's going to insert it into the engine (or whatever) but then nothing happens. Then an entry appears in your journal saying: "I couldn't bring myself to do it," or some crap like that. I think it has to do with the fact that I murdered the alien leader to get the battery instead of helping him. What? Don't look at me like that! Ok, I can feel your look. I thought I was supposed to kill him. All the other Phyxx soldiers had just attacked me anyway, so I thought he was going to do the same thing. Anyway, I think I was supposed to clear the gravity well for him so his people could escape. I don't have a save going back far enough to correct this mistake. Unfortunately, I saved right AFTER killing him, thinking "Oooh, that was a tough boss fight. Better save." Great. Now what.... Guess I have start all over. Unless, by some chance, one of you knows what the hell I'm talking about and has another solution. At least I learned the main character's true identity. According to Dr. Mastaba's medical logs (which you need Dr. Escher's access codes to view), your character, Morgan Blade, is the only one to have survived the surgery and successfully receive full cybernetic implants. This doesn't make sense though because the picture ID in Morgan Blade's profile is clearly that of a woman, yet your character (called Lex for some reason) is definitely a man.
can't you search the net for save files 2 get u back that far
Found this on GameFAQ see if that helps.
oh wow Bioforge.. yeah I still have the box in my cupboard... wonder if it'll work on modern PCs today.. if I remember right it was supposed to be a DOS-based game...
It does, but you have to use DOSBOX and you'll still have to go through a bunch of shit figuring out how to get it to work. It took me a few hours, IIRC.
I didn't make it!
I remember the game, it was rather good but at the time of release was far TOO good for my PC. :kerian:
