At least you have AO games in the U.S. In Australia the highest rating is "MA 15+". This means that alot of games, like the G.T.A series, have to be "toned down" to even be able tp sell the games in Australia.

Do you know how annoying it is to be an adult and still be told by the governement that you can't buy a games that contain "Adult Content".

All because the government is afraid that parents aren't computer savvy enough to monitor their own kids activities, yet we all know any of these kids can jump on the internet and find material 100 times more graphic and explicit, than anything that currently exists in any game.

Just saying... Games don't boost thought if they aren't real. FFVII taught me to read (no joke). Goldeneye 007 taught me to have amazing hand-eye coordination. I'm a video game child, my crime record is clean, and my SAT scores are all college level. Taking away video games is like taking away building blocks.

at least here in Slovenia we dont have such fucktards lol

as a gamer, i dont really see blood and gore and shit in games, becouse i'm too busy aiming head, dodging bullets, helping my team etc... and i dont think i'm the only one who sees the whole thing like that. also, red alert 2 and RTCW taught me ALOT of english (it's not my primary language), so much that i'm the best at english in my class. that's only one of many good things i got from games.

and people say that kids these days spend too much time sitting by computers. of course, 24h playing is too much, but i think it's better to spend whole afternoon and evening playing games than walking around on the streets, get drunk, smoke, start fights, do drugs or crime. i'm talking about "kids" of my age (13), who every friday and saturday do all of that and other kinds of shijat.

i mean, how many people (many younger than 18) in america die every day becouse of drugs, fights or shooting on the streets? alot. how many people have died in the whole gaming history becouse of games? 40? 30? less? not to mention that many games have positive effects on human brain.

and if the goverment is too dumb to realise what is actually happening in their country, then i only have another reason to be happy that i dont live there.

My friends mom doesnt allow him to get M-rated games but I know he wont go out and start killing random people thats why I bought it for him. Now if the feddies start breaking into are house and start taking are games (which i doubt will happen) then i will be pissed.
