Yes, the plot does seem a bit random in XW vs. TF, just one mission after another.

TIKIwhats the game called when you start off in the xwing and you on tattoine and at the end of the mission your in mos eisley?
Star Wars: Rogue Squadron, one of my favorites. The PC version was called "Star Wars: Rogue Squadron 3D", and I didn't like it as much. The controls didn't feel as good, and the fog distance was too short, when running at the higher resolution.
I never cared much for WvT it was cool but I much prefer the plot in Tie-Fighter. I was psyched when I finally beat the last mission. Kinda bummed that they took away my Defender but I survived.

Tie-Fighter was loads of fun, and I prefered its story as well. I've got the Tie-Fighter Collection CD, for MacOS. Its one of the main reasons, that I have held onto the old Mac.

How close to the inner Imprerial circle thing, did you guys get?

I liked it, but the controls *were* kind of funky, and I can't really play it now because it crashed after every level. So sad... :(
Yes, the plot does seem a bit random in XW vs. TF, just one mission after another.

Kind of like Jedi Academy... ;) I do like TIE Fighter the best because it had a good plot and wasn't impossibe to beat without cheating. X-wing was a bit too hard for me, so I could never really get into it.

ObliviousIs it possible to make Tie Fighter run with Windows XP? Or would you have to dig up an old fossil of a computer with dos or Win95 to play it on?

there is a patch to allow play in XP.just go to www.lucasarts.com under support.

it will take some diging to find the patch. they dont have the best layout in the world but it is a pleasant surprise that they still support the old games. the one i use is the collectors cd edition that uses the engine from xwing vx tie figther (circa 2001) but they should have a patch for the original polygon version as well which is just as cool.
