I play WWII:Online from time to time which comes with a decent air war component.

You see your still not half as sad as i , playing Flight Simulator X online as part of a virtual airline, focusing on realism....**cries**

example: am currently flying a Boeing 747-400 from Sydney to Perth...

I am a fan fo Combat Flight Sim 3, and still play it to this day. But thanks to my bad internet, I can't play it online. I;ve also owned many other Microsoft Flight Sims but havn't invested in Flight Simulator X yet. But I would classify myself as a fan. :)

There's always the excuse that if you are in a real plane and the pilots get sick from their dinner you can take over and be the hero of the day.

I played the MS flight simulator series as well. I never put in the required effort to learn how to fly the big birds, but I like flying around in a Cessna with highest realism settings.

The most recent flight simulator I've played is Flight Simulator 2004: A Century of Flight. I'm not really a fan of modern aircraft. I prefer flying the early planes or using gliders. It's a lot easier to learn the controls for the Curtiss Jenny than it is for the Boeing 787. ;)

I looked into Rise of Flight, but with my wonky joystick it just wasn't worth it.

I love the Flight Simulator Series. I myself own Flight Simulator 2004: A Century of Flight. I used to spend all day on it, but them my computer started to dislike it. I uninstalled it, but anytime I attempt to reinstall it, it will not start up. Luckily for me, IL-2 Sturmovik: Forgotten Battles still works just fine.

Can we count space flight simulators in this thread? If so, Orbiter has been my recent sim.

I have MS Flight Sim X, but I haven't installed it ever.
