May not have a forum here, but there are many topics for discussion over here. From what I see there, alot of people are psyched for this.

For those who don't know, SWTOR is short for "Star Wars: The Old Republic" and it's gonna be like a star wars MMORPG. The trailer looks pretty awesome too.

Bioware, who have come out with such titles as Mass Effect look to be set to be on a winner with this one, but what do you think of it?

Well i think they already have a Star Wars MMORPG called Star Wars Galaxies. And it failed in general. SWTOR does look a little bit better but these days i refuse to pay monthly to play a game.

Um Bio ware had nothing to do with SWG from what I know, all they did was KOTOR 1 and 2? I think they are the correct company to bring us SWTOR.

Obsidian did Kotor 2, hence why it was such a failure of a game. Other than that, good to see Bioware back at the helm of a SW RPG. I probably won't be playing it any time soon after release, for a few reasons. But overall, it looks promising.

Yes, but it was done by Sony Online Entertainment, which in itself should be enough to warn you of the games quality. The only good thing they ever did was PlanetSide, and even that they shut down. I fear TOR will be crowded with elitists, only waiting to ruin the game with their 24/7 grinding. I seriously hope they stick to the spirit of their previous games, and let those of us that enjoy a regular, solo experience play in peace.

I was going to get this but pay to play...I just don't have the time...I wanted a nice single player mode where I can save and sleep and work and repeat.

I'd rephrase that. Lucasarts demanded for Kotor 2 to be released prematurely to make a hit for the holiday season. As a result large portions of k2's content have been cut out and never finished. Not to mention that what of the story remained is definitely more fulfilling than what was found in kotor 1 :P

And no, I am not psyched about swtor. Probably going to almost definitely pass that one by.

Now that is a matter of opinion :D

You would. But I wouldn't. :p

Though, I do see what you are saying here. Kotor 2 was supposed to implement the system that Mass Effect 2 will supposedly be using, having your prior game from the prequel effect the way the sequel plays. Sucks that Obsidian caved to Lucasarts and its stupidity. I could have never foreseen Bioware doing that.

I don't think either had much choice considering LucasArts owns the Star Wars license.
