hey, Ive seen this edition in PAL format, so this wont work on a US comp, will it? If not, anyone know where to get an NTSC format one,or w/e id need? Ive looked and couldnt find any, do they evn exist? For those who dont know what im talkin about, this is a compilation of the original Baldurs gate, the Tales of the Sword Coast expansion, BG 2 shadows of amn and BG 2 throne of Bhaal all on 4 DVDs instead of the 11 discs it would usually be on. Nice collectors edition type thing...

Yeah I remember the one, used to sell it. I highly doubt you would be able to pick up a new copy anymore these days, try Ebay. Baldurs Gate 1 did have a problem with US vs other contries not working, but all you needed to do was change your regional settings in Windows XP to where ever the game is from... bit of a hassle but possible. There probably is a fix for that too.

um yes ive found lots of new and sealed ones aound, my question is wil it work on a US computer? It was described as PAL(stardard UK) format. Remember im not talkin about them seperately, i ahve them seperately and they work fine i was confused to if this special 4 DVD set would only work in the UK, and if thats true they wether or not this is only made in this format.

Well if it is a zoning thing - check the back and see if it says Zone 1, I think the UK is the same as us (Australia) Zone 4. Then find out if your DVD-Rom is zoned. You can get Zone removal programs... But generally (if its not zoned) you wouldnt have any problems with a PAL game on a NTSC computer.

The compilation is fairly new I think. Saw it in my local GAME store the other day.
