I didn't make it!
I must say Battle field bad company has fowled this one up bad. It is more than obvious that it is catering to the opinion of one unskilled FPS player. One can tell that this person dose not like snipers. As the sniper scopes have poor accuracy and the scope has been severely blurred at the edges. It is obvious that the sniper has become the most penalized subject on the field. The fact that prone has been removed gives it a cheap fill like a free FPS download feel.
It appears that the insurmountable amount of complaints about the removal of prone will go unattended despite the damaging effects that it will have on the games sales. Almost all members of our game clan has refused to purchase the game until prone is patched in. Already creating a 300 dollar profit lose among one small clan. Their stubbornness in this matter is almost to the point of unprofessional project management and self sabotaging sales.
On top of that after many years and redesigns of game engines they have still not managed to fix the largest complaint in BF2. Yes, the hit box glitch is still alive well. Instead of the dusting effect that we all remember so well, it has blood dusting. Which means that dust has just changed colors. Now it is red. I was surprised to make the now so difficult shot with a sniper rifle , of hitting some one in the back of the head, only to see blood splatter with out a hit indicator and him not even know that I was there.
This game at this point in its development has more that the routine beta flaws. It has flaws in its way of processing complaints and recommendations of its large base of FPS consumers. For instance it may receive on post saying "I would like to see this removed" and it weighs this the same as one million people that say "I like that, leave it in".
The saddest part of it all is many people, like myself held out in protest against Call of Duty modern warfare 2 removing dedicated servers. Saying that we will just hold off until Battlefield bad company 2. And now that is failing us as solid game that we will turn to.
I feel that it had a large opportunity to recover a lot of lost sales from is competitor and is dropping the ball on this badly.
1. It's Battlefield. One word.
2. It IS just a beta for now. I'm sure they'll work to fix the bugs that are currently in the system, as most games do. I don't think they're going to leave it in based on how obvious it really is.
CoD MW2 not having dedicated servers isn't all that bad from what friends have told me - though they would like to choose who they do and don't play with. Overall it sounds like a good bang for your buck.
I'll wait until the game is actually released before I say anything (I played the entire Battlefield franchize back in the day with friends, so I'm no new-comer to how the game works), and I'll most likely buy it.

Good riddance to prone. Ever played Battlefield 2? It's not so much about who can aim better as it is about who hits the prone key first.

That's like saying one less person will be pissing into an ocean.
Also, :moved: to General Gaming, seeing as we don't have a Bad Company section yet.
