Really? I'm always Gondor, or Isengard. Rohan has bad infantry, if you can call them that, and Mordor relies too much on swarms of troops, althought the Trolls and Balrog are awesome.

Here you can find a mod that adds several hero units to the game, and aslo makes it so Ringwraiths can go on foot, or horseback.

The game is great , people are doing wonders with the maps Despite what those pics show , the sklines were dropped from the game , took a bit of gleam off things but no worries as people have now modded to have skylines It is a very mod friendly game and its great!

I've found a great mod for BFME! It's the BFME Extended Edition Mod. It adds a lot to gameplay, like new abilities for heroes, a few new units, many new technologies, new spells, etc. One of my favorites would probably have to be Boromir's Last Stand, a passive ability he gets at rank 3. WIth this, he keeps fighting for a little while even after he's reached 0 health. This can lead to some awesome looking battles as he keeps swining until he goes under from crowds of orcs.

Yeah, I heard that's a great mod. But I never got to get the game yet, unfortunate enough. Damned college books broke me - and that was back a couple of years ago! * Shakes head at having no savings account left - just bills bills bills bills bills! *

EDIT: Made post also so that I wouldn't be at 666 posts anymore. :p

I might consider buying it one day, once the price comes down a bit. Not right now though, my exams are coming up, so i won't have any fun with them right now. How are the game controls btw? Are their any features that put it apart from other RTS's?

Not too many actual keyboard control differences. You can still create hotkey groups, Shift+1, Shift+2, etc, along with the standard scrolling. What makes this game fun is the sheer action! It's awesome to see Gandalf ride in on Shadowfax, and use Wizard's Blast to hurl tons of units away from him, or Sauroman firing a fireball into a group of soliders. The morale system is also implemented in a fun way. A troll can rush into a group of soldiers, some may fight back, other may run, and others may just scream and cower. It's all so random and spontaeneous.
