Hey Guys!!! :) Havent been on in a long time. But im finally back :D Battlefield 3 has been confirmed! (No, I am not talking about 21242) BF3 right now, is only in development for the 360, but it will probably deff. go to PC. I read a little bit about it, and man does it sound badass! It has FULLY DESTRUCTIBLE ENVIRONMENTS! By that I mean you can blow up ANYTHING! You can blow a crater into the street and get in for cover. If you shoot a building with a RPG or Tank/Missile, you will blow a large chunk of it out. So if you put enough shots into a building, then its coming the "F" down. So yeah, pretty much anything you see can be destroyed. As for the time period, IDK. I think its supposed to be modern day though. I hear too, that EA is going all out with BF3. It's going to try to make war look as real as possible. So there will be blood, and probably enough shots to a person's limb will take it off.

Did a little research, not much found on google, but there was a brief new s update about this on EA's website from August 21. It's not completely fully destructable. The article says about 90%, so not completely destructible, but damn close to it. No mention of anything with computer, but if they don't make it for PC, there will be many, many, many angry customers.

EA AND DIGITAL ILLUSIONS UNVEIL BATTLEFIELD: BAD COMPANY FOR NEXT-GENERATION CONSOLES

All-New Game Reinvents the Award-Winning FPS Franchise for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3

bfbc_screen_sm.jpg REDWOOD CITY, Calif. - August 21, 2006 - Throw out the rules of engagement, this is all-out war! Electronic Arts (NASDAQ: ERTS) today announced that Battlefield: Bad Company™ is currently in development for the Xbox 360&E153; video game system from Microsoft® and PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system.

Built from the ground-up for next-generation consoles using Digital Illusions' bleeding-edge Frostbite™ game engine, Battlefield: Bad Company drops gamers behind enemy lines with a squad of renegade soldiers who risk it all on a personal quest for gold and revenge. Featuring a deep, cinematic single-player experience loaded with adventure and dark humor, the game delivers the series' trademark sandbox gameplay in a universe where nearly everything is destructible.

"The heart of DICE's multiplayer games is the frenetic, unpredictable nature of the sandbox experience, where anything could happen at any moment, and that's what we're bringing to the core of Battlefield: Bad Company's single-player campaign, said Karl Magnus Troedsson, senior producer at DICE. "In a world that's 90 percent destructible, the gameplay possibilities are infinite - the battlefield is always changing, forcing players, teammates, and enemies to react accordingly. Gamers will have total freedom to adapt to and tackle challenges in creative Battlefield-style ways."

Battlefield: Bad Company also will feature a full suite of the franchise's trademark multiplayer options with deep gameplay modes designed to take full advantage of the game's massively destructible environments.

Developed by Sweden-based developer Digital Illusions, Battlefield: Bad Company is slated to ship for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in 2007. For more information about the Battlefield franchise, please visit http://battlefield.ea.com.

At least someone gives a source.

When posting news entries and something that is very outlandish (or really anything at all) please, please, PLEASE cite your sources.

Well, I would hope they can do a better job than the makers of Soldner, especially with such a high budget. In my opinion, it won't feel like war unless it can affect you emotionally. So far I've only encountered that with Operation Flashpoint, and hopefully the next installment. I think they should work on one game at a time. BF2142 or whatever it's called now seems like another BFV to me.

Think of it this way A $1000 PC > Ownzz Next gen conseles Battlefield started out on the pc and belongs to the PC! Next gen consels can go to hell for all I care but I'm not willing for them to start taking over games that started out for the PC. BTW Its kickass to be me ;)

Ok PC fanboi, calm down now. A thousand dollar PC does not ownzz a console, two different animals. I like how you don't even own a 360 (or probably even an HDTV) and tell us a PC ownzz it, now that is funny. I'm sure it will come to your precious PC after it hits the 1337 360.

I like fanboi kids like yourself, they keep me entertained on the net...

:vikki:

The hardware on the inside of the 360 and PS3 equals that of a computer that costs several thousand dollars. Hook that up to an HDTV, and you have a high-end PC that just plays games.

Man, you're ignorant.
