Ermm...I think this is mean to be somewhere else...

Anyway, I think Battlefield 1942 and BF2, because of the FH mod.

Well, RPG-X mod for Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force is very good and still quite popular. There are several mods for Jedi Academy that are also quite popular, like JaPlus and MovieBattles. And let's not forget Kobayashi Maru mod for Star Trek: Bridge Commander.

Some of the best I've played are the Matto and SkripT mods for Far Cry, the Ravenholm mod for HL2, and the WiCoPP Reality mod for CoD 2.

It's not here on Filefront because it hasn't been released yet, but I am excitedly looking forward to Black Mesa: Source. It's basically a complete rebuild of the original Half-Life using the Source engine, completely from the ground up. It's been in development since 2004 and is scheduled for release this year.

I agree with Zam's statement about Black Mesa.

Another notable mod was OOO for Oblivion. While not everyone uses it, it really set off a trend in Oblivion modding.

Yeah, I read about that, sounds cool. I hope it doesn't wind up canceled like Rise of the Resistance was, a multi level mod that was being made for CoD2 involving resistance forces of Europe that got most of the way done then canceled due to attrition. It's the only mod I've ever heard of that was backed by a major publisher. Activision offered to fund putting it on disc and packaging it for stores. The lead of the mod team even traveled from the UK to California to meet with Activision about it.
