I'm looking around for a really good racing sim for pc, but there are so many to choose from, that I don't know where to start!
I like Rally, and track racing, basically anything but Nascar, or Drag racing (no left turns for a whole day).
I've already got Colin McRae 2005, I'm about 1/2 way through the career, but I'm kind of dissapointed at the briefness of the stages. They are only 3 - 3.5 minutes long, where a real rally stage can be up to 10x that length. But anyway, here is a few in the poll, and feel free to suggest others.
Ive always liked the nascar sims the best. I hear nascar racing 2003 is good, even though I havent played it. Nascar racing 3 is good also. I want to try the new GTR. It looks really cool.
yeah i mostly am interesting in racing games like NFS underground, but the GTR got me interested.
GTR2 Is sweet the cars sound awesome and my 2nd favorite racing sim for pc is test drive unlimited i had the closed beta and it was so fun it had the entire island of hawaii with every road on it. AHH Good fun to bad the beta ended and MP is doesnt work on it anymore just Singleplayer.

That's not a Sim.
If you like Rally, and want a true Sim. Grab a copy of Richard Burns Rally. You won't be dissapointed.
The other great Sim is ISI's rFactor. Grab that aswell.
Others include GTR 1 and 2. Nascar 2003 Season (Old, but still a gem).

Not a sim.
hmm i guess your right it isnt a sim now that i think about it its like a mmoarcade game
The only sims in the poll are GTR 2, RBR, Grand Prix Legends, and Live for Speed S2.
How are TOCA and MOTO GP not sims?
They're not. They are arcade, 'wanna-be' Sims.
I dissagree with you, I've played both, and they are quite realistic when compared to games like Need for Speed, or Juiced (both are obviously arcade). They may not simulate actual racing scenarios, but they give the player a realistic driving experience.
