Don't they have enough to do? The "war" on drugs and terrorism not taking up enough of their time? And WTF is Clinton doing this for?

Because she's a Democrat who wants to run for president? :uhoh: That's just my guess.
they are dumb for being antigaming, anyone whos read that article about gaming being good would know it is good. Before I started gaming I wasnt too good at multitasking, and my teachers often caught me spacing out, now they comment on how amazed they are that I can pay attention and multitask so well.
Lieberman's bill, called CAMRA, would provide funding to investigate the cognitive, physical, and sociobehavioral impact of electronic media on child and adolescent development
I think a better use for the proposed $90 million would be to investigate the cognitive, physical, and sociobehavioral impact of ignorant grandstanding senators on child and adolescent development.
I'm glad my tax dollars are being well spent (as usual).
Lieberman boasts on his Web site that he "held the first hearings on the threat posed to children by video game violence" and strong-armed the industry into developing a ratings system under threat of government action. He and Clinton introduced legislation late last year that would ban the sale or rental of any "mature" or "ratings pending" video game to a minor, and Lieberman has singled out Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto for particular criticism.
that i such Bull. They didn't strongarm the ame industry into anything. They asked and the industry obliged them and now mbraces the ESRB. they make it sound as if there was ever any sort of oposition to the esrb The problem here is that there are two more years to election time, and there is just about no way in hell that a conservative is going to be elected so all the democrats are competing to be the most democratic-y. Senators Clinton and lieberman need to get this stick out their ass. Not only that but the Average gamer today is well within the voting age group. Any law they try to pass against the game industry will be faught every step of the way and even if by some act of satan they manage to get a law passed, it won't stick. Within twenty years it will be repealed because the gaming generations will be in power. MWAHAHA Here's my message to Clinton, Lieberman and their cronies :moon: :moon: :moon: :fistpunch:
btw, you should have posted this in the pub
Good ol' Hillary... Didn't you guys get the memo? She's a complete bitch. I hope she runs for president in 2008, it would simply guaruntee another Republican victory.
As much as i would hate to see another republican (in fact i'd rather not see a democrat either) Locomotor is right
It is such a waste of money. Sure gaming can affect people who are stupid enough for it to affect them, other than that games are harmless.
Give it another 5 years and you'll find the thought of participating in an online forum flabergasting.
