Boo hoo. It was great and all but I don't really see a problem as long as people still have access to the DLC. Besides how long do you expect it to survive with the advent of ME3 anyways.

Of course this means we should be seeing one more DLC pack, and I am thinking this will be the DLC that was promised that will bridge the story between Mass Effect 2 to the upcoming third entry in the series. Another thing to note is this only effects the updating news and all content will still be downloadable from the Marketplace like normal.
Its just the news updating thing thats closing down. The article says in the quote above that all the content will work as normal. I'm not surprised though, ME2 had a good run and with ME3 coming this year i'm fine with just one more DLC, especially if it does bridge the game between the games as suggested.

I'm assuming a GOTY edition will be released soon after the PS3's standard copy comes out, so they figured that anyone who wanted DLC would of already gotten it for the xbox.

SuperSmeg;5448779Bioware to Pull the Plug on Cerberus Network for Mass Effect 2; Final DLC Coming Soon…. | Capsule Computers Pty Ltd - Gaming News, Reviews, Interviews & Competitions
Wait, hang on, thats not what ive been reading. As far as i am aware its just the Cerberus Network news that appears on the laptop in the main menu which will cease to be updated, Bioware have not yet said anything about DLC other than that there was another big pack coming. There has been no word on whether we might still get new weapons or armour to my knowledge, though i could be wrong.
