Apparently, according to a NeoGAF thread anyway, Bungie is going to port Destiny 2 to PC, having seen a report from Activision which states that this is the place. Serio's favourite source Kotaku seemed to confirm the rumor.

The basest of base discussion, as your mum told the postman in the sauna the other day. At least, that’s what I hear. I also hear that maybe, just maybe, console online FPS-come-hamster-wheel Destiny [official site] might be incorporating PC into its sequel plans.   The rumour comes via Kotaku and NeoGAF, the former alleging that they’d previously heard similar to what was expressed on the latter. Specifically, that Bungie’s Destiny 2 will come to PC as well as console. The GAF poster’s alleged source is a friend from Activision who saw an internal report claiming the sequel would hit PC. From a business point of view, this seems sensible. It’s a huge audience cut off for no good reason (development resources not withstanding), and Activision’s sister company Blizzard have had huge success by putting out Overwatch on everything they can.

Fucking Kotaku is fucking full of fucking fucksicles and their 29 fuckateers. Fucking fuck fucks.

Ahem. Anyway, interesting if true. Doubtful about how well it would sit with the market, though.

I doubt it's gonna sway the Overwatch people. Especially if it's a bad port.

Overwatch and Destiny are very distinct, to be fair. Overwatch is aimed at people who play Team Fortress 2 and such, whereas Destiny is more aimed at people who play Bioshock and other FPS-RPGs.

So what? their aiming for the Gunporn (Borderlands) crowd? that would still the yield the same result.

If they fix the issues with Destiny and put it on PC, I might actually play it.

God, I hope so. Destiny is pretty much the only reason I turn on my PS4 anymore, and even then I play it with a mouse and keyboard through a XIM4 adapter. If I can play the sequel natively on PC without aim speed limitations and at 60 or even 144fps, I'd probably sell my PS4 the same day.

I agree with not wanting a console. Console games cannot be modded, and you need to pay an extra monthly fee to connect it to the internet. There is no reason to have a console at all when you can mod a PC game, and simply connect that PC to the internet you already have.
