Found this interesting bit from Destructoid, thought I'd share it. Bungie has officially transitioned its data and other server functions to Microsoft's 343 Industries, which is going to handle the Halo IP from now on. I never played Halo but I think the information compiled by Bungie was fascinating.

Talk about big time numbers.

It's always a shame to see a game studio's franchise announce its farewell. In this case I suppose it isn't necessarily a farewell, seeing as there are quite some people from Bungie who quit and joined 343 Industries.

It's always a shame to see a game studio's franchise announce its farewell. In this case I suppose it isn't necessarily a farewell, seeing as there are quite some people from Bungie who quit and joined 343 Industries.

There's some handful of guys from Bungie out of the couple hundred 343i has right now. As things stand most of that studio is made up of different people who've either worked within Microsoft Game Studios or other areas in the industry. For the most part Bungie is leaving Halo behind, so their sendoff is appropriate.
