I know this is technically Call of Duty related, but I think that it's importaint enough to disscuss in this forum area. This article was taken from Call of Duty files, here's the original link:;23946

Ever since ButchCassidy released his original plan for drawing attention from the makers of Call of Duty 2, Infinity Ward and Activision have given no response whatsoever. In accordance to Cassidy's plan, all servers supporting this CCA (CoD Community Action) should be shut or locked down tonight at 6:00 PM, your local time. Read the following statement from ButchCassidy for the details:
Quote: *****CCA OFFICIAL STRIKE ANNOUNCEMENT***** Today is a very sad day, one which should neither be rejoiced nor applauded. After weeks of trying to obtain a response to the questions in my post, "The Time Has Come For Action", and without any kind of meaningful response from either Activision or Infinity Ward, it is indeed now The Time For Action. It is with deep regret that I must now ask for all those who have pledged your support in our attempts to get a better form of support for our community to now act on your pledge. From 6:00 PM tonight (your local time), we would ask all supporters to either shutdown or lockdown your COD/UO/COD2 servers. Admins, please use a secure password in order to keep your servers empty, and change the name of your server to "We Support CCA". Thank you all for your magnificent support. Butch Cassidy
What do you think of the server strike, and Infinity Ward not putting any anti-cheat device in CoD2?

well, on the long term no anti cheat program can kill a game, I dont play CoD2, and I can imagine ppl are upset when all server close down, But I hope it works for them, else there will be no fun in playing the game knowing that 60% of the server is cheating..
