Tip for the OP: Don't buy it. You're supporting a bad business. Kotick has been open about how he runs the company and what he wants to do. It's up to you if you want a CoD subscription service in the future.

i would really hate if Cod went in that direction, seems when games get mega popular it all becomes more about the money

Kotick said that he wish he could do one thing with CoD, it's make it a subscription service at a snap of his fingers. He thinks audiences are clamoring for it. I'll find the quote if you'd like.

A lot of gamers don't read the news or don't care about what CEOs say nowadays and they just blindly buy the games, and that's why the price of games and DLCs keep increase. Look at how many complaints people had over the price of the first MW2 map pack, and then look at the fact that it was the biggest-selling DLC ever. Can you say sheeple (no offense)?

I think the reason it sold so well though, is cause a lot of the buyers were parents who bought it for their kids because their kids wanted it so bad. Sadly, kids aren't even supposed to be allowed to play the game. It's M-rated.

To be honest, people like you and me should take action and not buy these games. I've stopped supporting Activision. I will continue to not support them until Kotick is fired or retires.

I know movements like this never work, but it's a start.

Going off-topic, so I won't post anything further about this.

I don't play mp anymore, but I think it's bad enough they refused to support dedicated servers. If they force the CoD franchise into a subscription affair, it won't be long before an amassing number of once loyal fans will say enough is enough. Then the reality of the piracy hammer will fall on them. There is virtually no game out there completely invulnerable to it. And if they go exclusively mp with CoD because of it, it might create a new breed of hackers that manage to get around even the mp protection. Some games are already mp cracked.
