Whats up, i been lookin around for a new game to get and i figured i'd get some opinions. Which of these would you wrather play? Call of Duty 1, or Day of Defeat: Source?
Day of defeat is nothing more than a tunnel rat game that centers around throwing grenades at the center flag. Lack of fluid movement (in which i mean the ability to traverse passable terrain to flank your enemy or better hold a position) and over reliance on contrived 'chokepoints' quickly turn that game tedius.
if it was cod2 and dods i would say dods, but since u say cod1 i pick dods, i play it myself and it has a lot of teamwork, I like better then cod2 sometimes when i get sick of it
Thanks for the replys, i think i'm gonna go with CoD because i know a few people with it and don't know anyone with DoD:S.
I love DoD:S, I've played both CoD's and they just weren't the games for me. But it doesn't seem like enough people play DoD:S.
Call of Duty. Day of Defeat is a crappy game.
I prefer Dod:s, seemed to lack any kinda teamwork, at least in dod you know where everyone stands, sure there's less class balance, but the mechanics of each map makes up for it.
mechanics? The maps are nothing but thinly veiled hallway shoot lanes with a central area DESIGNED to be a grenade trap. The maps are whats been killing DOD:S for me since it debuts. Oh for the days of 1.3b
I bought CoD, its a pretty good game so far.
Don't let us make up your mind though, like us, we had to test each game to figure out which was better, I suggest you do the same.
