Somehow I doubt GTA IV will be a great online game. The series itself just isn't suited for long term online legacy. Judging by Saints Row's online play for this type of genre online play serves as a novelty. I hope the game will prove me wrong. There just is not any major game that will topple CoD4 online throne anytime soon.

My nit picks with CoD4 since I don't really play mp anymore are a couple of major pitfalls IMO in two of the sp levels that make for lots of frustration on Vet mode. They took away a good snipe spot by scripting the church tower to get blown in Heat and instead of putting a checkpoint at the start of the silo tunnels in No Fighting in the War Room they put it near the start of the level. Those may seem like two minor things but they were the only parts of the game where I had to do numerous replays because of it, and I mean quite a few. This is of course besides the obvious sp complaint being the game is WAY, WAY too short in duration and too linear. I guess you could say my only other complaint is related two the first two, it is not easy to mod. Otherwise I probably would have fixed the first two problems by now. I don't see how your suggestion of AGU type expansion levels relates to Bruce Scream and Chuck Nerdish, but I can't argue they had success at martial arts, at least competetively and film wise anyway. Applying such skills to the real world is often a different story though. Something tells me that "headache" that lead to Lee's demise was the result of some hard knocks he took from someone he took for granted. Anyways, he was screaming fast even without special effects, but Norris' acting is bad even in a physical sense, so I never got into that fight scene much.

Yes, I do have to agree, COD 4's Campaign is a little sloppy, to say the least. You missed the point of the video. Chuck represents Bungie Studios, Bruce represents Infinity Ward. And you didn't watch the whole thing, Chuck doesn't win. In fact, his leg is broken and he is choked to death.

I actually prefer Halo 3 over CoD 4. CoD 4 is still great, but Halo just has a more natural feel to the controls. I'd prefer not to be publically stoned for this post.

I really think COD 4 is massively over-rated, as many of you know. Its a pretty samey shooter (Don't get me wrong, every shooter is one way or another), but everyone acts like its the best thing since sliced bread. Its not. Now can everyone out there please stop ranting at me about how good it is?

Anything beats CoD4 for me. I only thought it was great when it was WWII. But GTA IV will probably knock it off the top. I mean, sure, i kinda enjoyed the Demo, but it was too linear for me to buy the full game. I'll stick to Crysis and other open shooters.

I wouldn't go as far as "massively over-rated", but I am sick of everyone telling me that they cum eight times a match.

OK, maybe I missed how you tied it to your comments, but I did watch the whole thing and have seen the movie a few times. That fight scene is overrated, and Bruce supposedly broke his neck, rather than just choking him. You can tell by the snapping sound. It's one of the things that's silly about that fight and many that were used in films in those days. They played up the neck breaking thing so much they didn't realize how unrealistic it looks, esp when a little guy like Bruce does it on a stocky guy like Chuck. As for the highly overrated comment on CoD4, I would say more like highly under finished in sp. Most of the high ratings are because of the mp, where it does shine above others, esp in realism and performance.

I have not read the thread, but I will tell you this, CoD 4 will not always be the best game. They will make more advanced stuff, and there goes CoD4 just like Halo 3 until they make CoD 5 and so on...
