Whatever floats your boat I guess but kiddie racing games bore the hell out of me after a few min, and ANYONE can play them, even a child.
That is the purpose of a game, to be played by anyone. Very few would want to buy a game if you need to read a 200 page manuel to play it or need to have a special drving wheel. That is the same reason why people won't game on a PC. Some of the controls are complex, and people perfer simple pick up and play interfaces. These "kiddie racers" are concidered to be some of the best games on the consoles by game magezines and sites.
Yeah Burnout and Turismo and PGR are fun to play, I just hate when people call them SIMS ;)
Consoles really cannot be compared to a PC. 2 different worlds and I like both.
I take what n0e says way too seriously

I just added up the total cost of all my games + systems, and it comes to $1740. That includes a TV, PS2, Xbox 360, controllers, and games. That's a very high estimate too, because I supposed that I had bought all my games at $50 and my controllers (for the PS2) at $20, even though I got many of them used.
For $1740, you'd probably be able to get a nice gaming machine... for a few years, and with no games. With the $1740, I got a TV, 2 consoles, and games that I've used for the past 4 years and will continue to use for at least the next 4.
um well this is a no brainer pc so much better then console it hurts. just look at games like RTCW pc one is awsome console one is kinda bad and boring you dont even have a team. what i am trying to say is that anything console can do pc can do 10 times better.
ßeef FlapsYeah Burnout and Turismo and PGR are fun to play, I just hate when people call them SIMS ;)
If you call burnout a sim then I don't know what you would concider GT:p
Overall I have spent about $3,000 dollars on my consoles and games over the last 4 years. But I have a larger HD TV, 5.1 surround sound, a ton of games, and a bunch of cables/accesories. The TV is going to last at lest 7 to 10 years, I can get most of my money back if I go to sell my 5.1 system. I also play a good ammount of DVD's so that helps with justifing the price.
If you don't have both systems you are missing out on some great games. You don't have an xbox/xbox 360 you are missing out on halo/halo 2 and some other good games. You don't have a PS2 you are missing out on some good platformers and some good racing games. Don't have a gamecube you relly are not missing much aside from windwaker and a few other games. If you don't have a PC you are missing out on BF1942, Hl2, and some other games.
Frankly, I'm a cheap bastard, I have a crappy computer, and dont feel like shoving out hundreds if not a few thousand dollars too get a new computer that wont last as long as i would like it too.
Consoles are cheaper, PC's are for the rich, Consoles are for the "yang", nuff said.
PC is better but I will always backup the console seeing though I've been playin colse longer than pc!
