German magazine PC Action reports that the cult-hit console title, Dark Souls, is coming to PC this August and will include “new bosses.”
One expects From Software’s “Prepare to Die Edition” will bring improved graphics to the consoles’ more graphically powerful PC counterparts, and much-needed frame-rate relief to Blighttown – though you’ll still have to face those toxic giants and blowdart snipers and fire-breathing hounds. Oh, how I loathe Blighttown.
The game‘s PC release has been helped along by a serious fan-base, determined enough to see the title hit PC to start a petition and gather upwards of 100,000 signatures. As one of the most serious action-RPG titles released in a long time, it’s refreshing to see Dark Souls’ commercial success translate into new content and new platforms.
I thoroughly enjoyed the first game, and I was holding out on purchasing the sequel until either Namco Bandai or From Software came with some confirmation on a PC version. This seems to be that.

Unfortunately it seems to be infested with Games For Windows Live.
Hopefully that doesn't cause any problems because it's a day one buy (or pre-order) for me otherwise.
One of my all time favourite games. So much fun to play and it's an actual challenge, which is a breathe of fresh air since almost all games now-a-days are beatable within a few hours. Glad to see it coming to PC.
GFWL will probably only be used for streamlining the patch delivery system. Now that they've fixed most of the major problems with it, I don't see a problem with that.
I pre-ordered my copy from GameStop last week. I'm probably gonna end up getting a crack for it, just because I HATE GFWL. Did the same thing for GTA4. Man what a pain in the ass that setup was beforehand.
I've been wanting to play this for such a long time, just seemed stupid to buy a console specifically for this.
