I really am. It's just Fallout 3 on another map and with a lamer story. And oh, I get lower frames though there is nothing new graphical-wise?

Sure, it's a hell of a fun game, but more as a 30€ expansion and not a 60€ stand-alone full game. Or make it at least a stand-alone expansion.

Anyone else who thinks the same?

I'd like to say, "I told you so." But I haven't personally tried out the game and was just going on by the word I was given by others.

I think otherwise. I don't know why you are getting lower frames(maybe they improved on something else graphical wise) but I'm getting better FPS than FO3. Plus I haven't used one of those optimizer mods.

Plus theres better scripting ability in the new vegas I think, which will make for better mods afterwards, just gotta let FONV ferment awhile... Besides that, official survival mode, better landscape and definitely way more quests albeit "lamer" as you said. Plus they actually added more variety in weapons, armour and enemy critters/npcs. (If the new enemy critters/npc has newer mesh compared to FO3, we will also be seeing more modded stuff, especially from MMM)

Mh, could be.

But I don't like the bugs, you have got to admit that :p. Also, I don't get why certain weapons display DPS and other weapons of the same type just DAM?

Yeah, I think that bug was in FO3 as well, the DAM/DPS thing on inventory being unreliable. I think once you bring your stats up a certain point, you can really dismiss the DAM on those weapons and just test it out and based on instinct choose your gun.

If you got your small arms to like 300, even a pistol is like a freaking rocket launcher in FO3.

It is really more of an expansion. The graphics weren't changed at all and many of the buildings were recycled.

Most of the innovative stuff was taken from mods.

It is still a fun game and the different factions give it more of a Fallout-feel, but to sell it as a stand-alone is a a bit of a rip-off.

If you hover of the the dam/dps it'll switch to the other after a few seconds.

I played it some on my buddies 360. Pretty good i think, its just like Fallout 3 (which is a good thing) but set in Vegas. The iron sights on the guns are pretty darn cool as well, as is being able to mod them. I definitely plan on getting it.

I prefer it over Fallout 3 in every way, and I despise sequels entirely of late.

I prefer the story, though I haven't finished it. Following daddy in the big bad wasteland always felt like a Disney movie to me.

Weapon mods, ammo types, hardcore mode - everything they've added makes it so much more satisfying to me. I actually feel like shit is worth trading now, and I have to decide how much ammo to take with me or it will weigh me down.

I think they may have tweaked the graphics slightly, lighting in particular - but that's an educated guess, not a confirmed fact. Only started to lag once, in the Las Vegas strip, but it doesn't anymore.

And I've only crashed once, no other bugs otherwise.
