How often do you get time to play games.

I've got to be honest and say, probably only 3 or 4 days a week, and even then one of those may be for YouTube or something like that. I feel so short of time for games.

Also u16YqX1aoUWmV8v0gxvcDQLUWrOk5uz4MKTtq2zp.png@Mikey wont play rokits or pubg with me anymore.

If I manage to do so, I find it a jackpot these days. Getting a job while finishing Uni simultaneously takes its toll :(

Also am trying to get a job while finishing my degree. Even still, it's surprising how much time I find to play games. More than I can  justify for sure. Probably upwards of 5-10 hours per week when I am crunched for time and 20-30 hours per week when I have an abundance of time. I'm not sure if it's good or bad. My mentality tends to be that life is more interesting when I have less time to play games.

After much trial-and-error, I have discovered that life is best lived by not giving a shit about anything and only doing what you want to do, whenever you want to do it. So yeah, I play games most days. Sometimes instead I'll read a book, or watch something on Netflix, or get so drunk that I can't physically pick up a controller, but otherwise I'll probably play games. I'm on another retro binge right now, playing all the games in my Steam list in alphabetically order. Just started Half-Life: Opposing Force, after discovering that I'm shit at Half-Life now.

It’s not so much getting the time for me. There’s a couple of hours a day that I can put toward whatever I’m in the mood for and have enough energy left for. Even beyond that, if something really matters to me, then I can make time by dropping other things. It’s more… I’ve done the playing games every day for hours thing. It passes time in a manner that’s not utterly horrible, but in the long run it doesn’t go anywhere.

One of the things I like to do, to measure roughly how I’m doing, is to think of things in terms of ‘If I imagine I’m doing this in three years time, living this life, is that something I’m okay with? Okay, what about in twenty years?’

Like is this sustainable? If not what would need to change? Okay, you don’t know – well, let’s put a structure on it. Not as a strict answer to the problem, but just as a starting point, what elements do we think might be useful in life? You don’t know – okay, pick one of the pre-made structures and see what it teaches you. Even a wrong structure is better than no structure at all.

There’s a place for computer games, just like there’s a place for cake. But as the sole answer to that line of questioning I find them unsatisfying in much the same manner as eating cake every day would be.

All of which said, if there’s something interesting coming out I might take a week off to play it through. There are times to eat all the cake.
