well in my experance with JO the hight ping is more relyable since all the people with slow conections join the low ping and lag the hi speed people so the moderit ping for som resion is better in my experance. thats all.

Problem with lag is either:

Overloaded Server - server cant cope with data input and output. Overloaded Server connection - Server cant send/recieve the ammount of data as fast as it needs to.

I wouldnt imagine it was to do with RAM, other than if JO has some odd player positioning methods.

Your 'ping' is just a number that detirmins how fast you can send a tiny bit of data, then recieve it back. It doesnt take into account the large ammount of traffic data, not only the size but conjestion of it, between the server and all the other players.

I think they failed to tell you that it runs smooth as silk in the training missions. I couldn't imagine trying to play MP with 56k. Plus, with 56K, you don't even GET 56K, you get 5K.

Wait for cable, or just do the training a lot.

Please note: my post's reasons should also include the fact the server cant send information due to your internet connection aswell.

Thanks
