I think some games the ESRB geve ratig to were apporpiate and other left me mad. Point about the latter SSBM got a T(Teen13+) from the ESRB for the type of violence you see on cartoons. Other games like C&C Generals(ratedT) recieved a fair rating. Generals has alot about terroism in it(car bombs; hijackings; wmd's) what do you think?

I think they rate games rather fairly. For example, Manhunt definately deserved a "Mature Rating" as did GTA III and Vice City. They usually give games fair ratings, I can't really think of a game they rated wrongly.

I too agree that they do rate games accordingly... I can't think of any rating mistakes off the top of my head...

It's not like their ratings matter or anything. So who cares if they rate fairly or not. even though they most likely are.

As long as they don't rate a mature game E or T I think they're doing their job.

I honestly don't think they do a good job. For one, they have a label for Adults Only. I would definitely see this on a lot of games. Two examples: Singles : Flirt up Your Life - Um...you have sex. And it shows it...should I really explain? Manhunt - Oh, yeah. This really deserves it. It is the most mature game created. You actually shove a crowbar up a guy's (ryhmes with gas) and rip it out the back. It's disgusting...bleh!

Plus, they underestimate some games. Enter the Matrix teen? With that cursing? Ha ha, you guys are funny.

EtM was a joke of a game... Doesn't count :P

Singles is AO rated so that's fine...

I haven't played Manhunt but have heard its on the violent side :P but lots of games have plenty of guts/gore so I think it still deserves M rating...

Enter The Matrix cursing? I heard no cursing in that game.

Also Singles is one of those few games that got the Adult rating.

Violence in America is nothing. You see violence all the time in cartoons and movies and noone really cares. But when you add a little sex or some titties in there the movie suddenly becomes disgusting, not minding the guy 10 mins before that that got his head blown off from a guy with blood dripping down his face.

ESRB has done a wonderfull job in ratings for games.
