My friend has a 56k, and I have DSL. We want to play DOom 95 together, but we can't figure it out. He plays with other people who have a 56k, and they just dial the number, and one waits. How can I get it to work when I don't connect with my modem or know of a number. I'm pretty confused, please help! :bawl:

Don't know of a number? You'll need to have his phone number, have the game Phone him. Or he'll have to phone your game, while you wait.

If he can get it to work, then let him help you.

Yeah, thats a very good server browser. Just use a voice program e.g skype and find a server together. Easy as sh*t

A bit off topic, but by when you said "Doom 95" are you meaning playing the original Doom on Windows 95 or something?

no, Doom 95 is the original Doom, and that's most likely what he meant, it's just called "Doom 95" since it was made for Win95, but works on XP/2000/ME and such.

.. or so I thought

Yeah, It was annoying to have to reboot into Win98 to install it. I also had a little trouble playing it, from Windows 2000, after installation. You can use the "DOSBox' emulator, to install it, under Windows 2000/XP.

Last time I checked it worked on WinMe.

The game is only 45mb. So there is 600mb space left on the CD.
