We've waited a long time, and it's been a perennial release candidate for years now. I'm wondering if they are ever going to finish it. Do you believe it will ever be released, and if so would you buy it?

The last updates about DNF dated all the way back into 1999, so I guess never.

Always the optimistic, eh, Cyber? The chances of Duke Nukem Forever being released now are slimmer than the chances of my budgie growing a brain and getting a degree in quantum mechanics. In case you were wondering, that's slim. Like super-model, unhealthy thin.

Haha Id software have screwed themselves there. (It is Id who are making it right?) Hell no I wouldn't buy it, those graphics/physics and everything will be so incredibly out dated it's not funny. I'd say they have lost most of thier sales, and sucked in too. I hope this learns all of the gaming companies up!

The reason that they are taking so long was that they want to be completely up to date, and every time they have a good engine it's already outdated, so they cant prog fast enough :p if it get's released it will prolly still suck, almost all games that take this much time suck afterall :P

Not Id. They had their hands full with Doom 3 and now Quake IV. It is 3d Realms, a division of Good Ol' Apogee Software, that is responsible for the Duke Nukem series.

Even if it is release, it will still never exceed the awesomeness that was the very first Duke. Aw yeah. Playing that back along with Commander Keen. Since people are expecting outdated graphics, they should just re-release that one under DNF. I don't think anyone would tell the difference. :smokin:

Heh, the original Duke Nukem Trilogy (1,2 and 3, not Duke3d) were the best. Harcore platforming action.
